The ITHACA project focuses on narratives of and on migrants both in the past and in the present, using a genuine interdisciplinary approach, at the crossing of history, sociology, anthropology and geography. Visiting this platform, users have access to several resources dedicated to researchers, practitioners, policy makers and migrants: narratives, documents and archival sources collected during a thorough research phase.
ITHACA develops an interactive space for collecting and disseminating migration narratives with the aim of impacting the public discourse. In this regard, the project implemented training sessions, MOOCs for scholars, practitioners, and potential migrants, podcasts, editorial projects and policy documents. ITHACA promotes the ITHACA Diary Contest, collecting significant narratives of today’s migration.
