Life Taught Me to Cry (But Tears Did Not Teach Me How to Live) by Mohammad Reza Hosseini was one of the finalist stories of the national diary contest DiMMi-Diari multimediali migranti in 2017. The Italian translation by Changiz Davarpenah, with the support of Save the Children Italia and in collaboration with CivicoZero, appeared in a reduced version in A. Triulzi, N. Cangi, P. Di Luca (eds.), Parole oltre le frontiere, Terre di mezzo 2018.
The story is published here in its original Farsi, Italian and English versions, plus an appendix specially written by the author for this volume.
