On Tuesday, 16th of November, 2021 at 5 pm (CET), Jalal Al Husseini, associate research fellow in political sociology at the French Institute of the Near East (IFPO), ITHACA member and a freelance consultant, and Solenn Al Majali, Ph.D. candidate in anthropology at Aix-Marseille University and research assistant at the CNRS within the Horizon 2020 project ITHACA – Interconnecting Histories and Archives for Migrant Agency: Entangled Narratives Across Europe and the Mediterranean Region, will present a lecture entitled “Amman: a City of Refugees?”, which is part of the “Amman History Series”, at Institut français de Jordanie, Amman and online.
This talk aims at describing and analyzing the impact of the arrival of various groups of refugees in Jordan since the creation of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in 1946 had on the capital Amman.
